great is His faithfulness
my life has changed drastically in the last year. i became pregnant (by surprise), i got married, had a baby, and bought a house. these are all things i have wanted since i was a little girl. my dreams really have come true. but it hasn't been without challenges. through all of this, tim and i have clung to our faith in the Lord. God continues to pour His mercy and grace on us every day.
when tim went back to work in February, his schedule worked perfectly with my schedule so that we didn't have to rely on anyone to watch E except us. he worked Saturday, Sunday and Monday while i was home. and i worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday while he was home and we had Thursday off together. his schedule has changed once again now that it is fire season. he will be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. we've juggled a few options as to what my work schedule would be, or if i would have to work at all. we decided that if i work, we can get all of our projects for the house done a lot sooner and also be able to trade in the civic for a bigger car. we've decided that i will also work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. that way we have the same days off to work on house projects :) but mainly to ensure availability for tim to work overtime. who will watch E, you ask? well, we've decided to take her to daycare. we shopped around and have finally found 'the one'. i am very nervous to say the least. i feel comfortable with Tammy (who runs the daycare). i feel comfortable with her home and the other kids. i am just nervous about it not being tim or me taking care of her. i don't want to miss anything. we have a 30 day no strings attached trial period for us to see if this is the place for E. we are continuing to trust God in every step/decision that we make for E. our new schedule starts May 31. we will see how it goes!
right now Emma's 2 favorite things are babies and animals. last weekend my friend Lindsey and her daughter, Stella were home visiting. we put our babes on the floor and let them 'play'.

our new house
the hubby and i were renting a darling little home. it had a beautiful fireplace, lots of space and was in a great location. we lived there for 4 months when a few leaks made there debut. with these leaks came a few problems. our master bedroom had mold in the closet (tested, and not harmful-but still gross), and a leak on the ceiling had split open and was just ugly. our landlord had no problem fixing everything but, with a 3 month old, we didn't want to live in the house during construction.
our first home
my parents heard of the news and our need to find another place to rent. they offered for us to move in with them and save some money so we could buy a house. we tossed the idea back and forth and finally decided to move in with them. we were sad to say good-bye to our home. it was our first home and, for only being there 4 months, held lots of sweet memories to our family. we moved in with my parents (who were empty-nesters) and had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a small living space all to ourselves. my parents were exctied. so excited it was a little creepy at times.
we wanted to buy an older home in the central part Visalia. we wanted a place with character, yet room to make it our own. after 3 months of saving and looking at houses, we have found our home!
we have lots of great plans and dreams for this home. i'm excited to share our journey with you as we make these dreams a reality.
